Sisters Only Course
The latest and best teaching methods are essentially based on compassion, love and virtue. They dictate that teachers (and administrators) should constantly be kind, caring, gentle, generous, understanding, patient, forgiving and yet at the same time vigilant and pro-active. These promote better student learning and student happiness, and indeed better performance and job satisfaction in teachers. Learning the best teaching methods—being as good a teacher as possible—is an extension of this, and is thus an essential part of virtue in teachers. Supplementing this with a simple but regular practice of Remembrance of God also promotes virtue and happiness in teachers and students alike, and improves students’ concentration and consequently potentially also academic performance. If simple steps are taken to ensure that there is regular Remembrance of God in teaching, this will gradually but inevitably lead to better teaching, better understanding, better grades, more virtuous teachers, more virtuous students, and happier learning environments.
